Our prostate cancer support group, aims to provide support to meet the needs of people experiencing prostate cancer. This primarily will be newly diagnosed men who have to make treatment decisions, by supporting peer discussions with men with lived experience of treatment. As we develop we plan to offer support to wives/partners, men with advanced disease and Black men.
We currently meet on the first Wednesday of each month at the Bird in Hand, Public House at Victoria Square, Stafford, ST16 2AQ. Anyone effected by Prostate cancer is welcome to attend.
Since first meeting in August 2024, the group membership has agreed that we should become formally constituted as an unincorporated association, as this will enable the group to hold a bank account, take out necessary liability insurances and cover any necessary costs. It will also enable the group to apply for grant funding and charity status if we choose to do so. Details of the constitution and policies will be added to the "governance" page.
This website is hosted by e-voices but all liability and resonsibility for the content rests with Stafford and Surrounds Prostate Cancer Support Group.
