It was agreed by group members on 4th February 2026 to formally establish the group as an unincorporated association as this would enable the group to open a bank account and also take out any necessary liability insurance. This will also enable the group to apply for grant funding and at some point apply for charitable status if the members agree to do so.

Membership
The Group Membership is open to anyone effected by prostate cancer and is free of charge and allows members to vote on how the organisation is run and managed. As an organisation we are required to comply Data Protection legislation and therefore the membership form seeks consent from members to include them in our whatsapp group and contact them via email.
It is important that we create a safe space for members to share their concerns and benefit from the peer support the group aims to offer. Our membership form therefore also seeks agreement to uphold our mission, values and constitution.
